
This is the 2008 Scott Taylor Memorial Scholarship Knife to be sold during the ABS auction at the 2008 Blade show in Atlanta Ga. The 10.875" Blade is made of 350 layer 1084-15N20 raindrop pattern Damascus. A heat colored oval coin edge titanium seppa sit between the blade and wrought iron guard. A spacer and butt cap made from the same 350 layer billet frame the black dyed and stabilized figured maple handle.
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide funding to continue the craft of the forged blade via to one of 2 classes available at the W.F. Moran School of Bladesmithing. Either The basic Bladesmithing course or Handles and Guards. The latter was taught by Scott Taylor. His love for the forged blade is the inspiration driving this effort.
