Welcome to WoodChuck Forge

Welcome to 2010. It does not seem possible that a new decade is upon us. For those of you who have been following my site I thank you and apologize for not have it up and running fully. In 2009 I had a loss in the family and was busy attempting to get things settled in that area so I essentially took the year off work. I am back at it again and hope to be in full swing very shortly. My forge is running on a regular basis and am producing some billets again.

Forging Hammer

Forging Hammer

This is a hammer I just made. I have been wanting to try one since I read "The Hand Forged Knife" By Carl Schroen. He had a huge one and I could not see how it would work. It works like a dream. The swing is a bit different but it is a lot easier to use than I expected.
